More About Cancer
The next articles and 10 sections are based in the written book by Dr Josep Ribal: Prevent Cancer Naturally
What is cancer?
In the following articles we will continue talking about cancer with more details, its causes, agents that strengthen or weaken it, its effects and how to combat naturally as we had earlier outlined in previous articles on this blog.
I Leave clear that these Articles are based only on the Dr. Josep Ribal point of view that has been a recognized researcher with very serious and respected in this health area and that very philanthropically and generously allowed us to publish part or all of his wonderful work; releasing or waiving copyright, as long as the information be free to the public, the original text is preserved entirety and without modifications, which I try to do 100% because it is a translation from the original book of the Spanish language into English.
It only remains give tons of thanks and warm regards for the wonderful book original author.
Let's start speaking about cancer definition, what is it, and then we will continue with another important topics about it in next articles.
What are the causes of cancer
Before understanding what mechanisms are to be maximize and where the efforts should be directed to implement an effective cancer therapy,we need to have a little idea of the mechanisms that come into play during the disease formation and its developmentt.
The disorder occurs when a mutation in the cell genetic material, regulatory functions are affected from the replication rate from the same. Then this cell becomes cancerous, that is duplicated to form two identical cells ,and therefore cancerous.
Thus each one repeat the process, and duplication is performed at high speed uncontrollably, thus forming cancerous tumors. A mutation in a gene does not imply the occurrence of cancer, but it increases its chance because for pathological formation must go through two phases: the first called initiation and a second called promotion.
To which a gene be initiated, must have been in contact with an initiator agent. Once the cell has been initiated, needs a promoting agent to move to the second phase. To get here, we need therefore, that the cells of our body be in contact with carcinogens, ie ,cancerous tumor's initiators and promoters.
The body has a number of biochemical mechanisms to avoid the formation and proliferation of such tumors , inhibiting the carcinogens activity, and discarding mutated cells.
Anyway if these mechanisms fail occurs a neoplasia (tumor from new formation), we have yet another barrier : the immune system, which is responsible for intercepting and kill cancer cells.
As they grow, it develops in the tumors a blood red that feeds them, and without this they would die. This phenomenon is called angiogenesis or neovascularization. The high number of additional existing cancer cells in the body increases the nutrient intake needs .
This fact, added to the usual lack of appetite in this condition, it is that causes the characteristic cancer body weight loss. We can classify benign and malignant tumors . The former tend to be encapsulated and very delimited from surrounding tissues.
