Avoiding Flu In Home


Virus that causes the flu is easily transmitted between people. The flu causes headache , chills and fever , cough or sore throat and aches in body. Some people can become very ill if they contract the flu.


The best way to prevent getting flu is to get vaccinated each fall. If the vaccine is not available , you can take other steps to reduce the risk of illness , especially if someone in the household has the flu.


Recognize the influenza symptoms and watch for these symptoms:
 • Fever, chills
 • Cough
 • Sore throat
 • Muscle aches
 • Energy lack
 • Runny or stuffy nose


Unlike cold , whose symptoms gradually appear, in general, influenza appears suddenly . Fever and ,intense body aches are flu common symptoms.

Fighting the flu
Call your doctor if you think a family member has the flu. By phone you can give information about the treatment of many symptoms. If you think you have the flu, stay home unless need medical care. Then wear a surgical mask to avoid infecting others.


Wash your hands
When a person with flu coughs or sneezes, the germs that cause it can be extended to a distance of three feet. The flu germs can be spread even when talking. If you touch infected objects with influenza virus and then touches your eyes, nose or mouth, the virus can easily enter in the body. Wash your hands often to kill flu germs.


How to clean your hands :

 • Wet your hands with liquid and washing with liquid, stick or powder soap.

 • Rub hands together quickly to form froth and lather all surfaces. Do it for 20 seconds. Need a timer ? Imagine singing "Happy Birthday" completely - twice. Rinse hands with water.


 • Dry hands with a paper towel or air dryer .

 • If possible, use your paper towel to turn off faucet .

* If you have not soap and water by hand , use an alcohol wipe or hand gel.
