Fields Radio Frequency (RF ) - Part 1

RF Radiation
Are sources of RF monitors, displays and screens, anti -theft alarms, AM stations and FM radio antennas, induction heaters, mobile telephony, television repeaters, microwave ovens, radar, satellite links satellite , microwave communications , sunlight, etc.

No wonder that the electromagnetic radiation level in the environment is increasingly saturated of such waves.

This makes us constant receivers of RF radiation. The intensity to which we are exposed in a typical city is very low compared with the levels of radiation needed to produce adverse health effects.

However some studies suggest that the radiation effects are acumulative, which could affect the same spending a year in the city that to be exposed one hour at a radiation 8,500 times higher.

However much remains to investigate the prolonged exposure effect to low intensities.

Within the frequency spectrum can cite ultraviolet ( UV ) , visible light , infrared radiation (IR ) , microwave fields, etc . The RF fields have included vibrational frequencies between 300 Hz and 300 GHz above 1 MHz, producing heat, because increase the molecules energy with which colliding  the waves.

Radio frequency radiation
Even low levels of RF power produces a temperature rise. Numerous studies have suggested that exposure to RF fields too weak to produce heating may have adverse health effects, including cancer and memory loss, among others.

The RF fields with frequency less than 1 MHz primarily induce electric currents and charges, mainly affecting the nervous and muscle tissues. Above 10 GHz , the penetration power is very low, increasing as low the frequency.

The tissues heating can cause several  psychological and thermoregulatory responses in the body, such as difficulty in performing mental and physical tasks. It can also affect fetal development : an increase of 2 or 3 ยบ C for a few hours can cause birth defects. Such radiation can also cause lens opacities (cataracts ), or fertility problems in men.

Numerous studies have suggested a possible link between exposure to RF fields and increased cancer risk. Other studies have indicated that the RF fields change the rate of cell proliferation, altered enzymatic activity and alters genes. Recent work has shown that exposure to RF fields can cause changes in the encephalogram, headaches or insomnia, among other disorders.

Natural RF (sunlight) fields have an extremely small current, they do not present any threat to health.
