Basil as it is commonly called, is an herbaceous plant that grows in tropical climate with a height of 30-60 cm, leaves are bright green on the outside and gray-green surface on the inner surface.





In the Middle Ages the Chinese saw it as a bridge to communicate with the beyond, to the Egyptians was a solar plant and  in Hindu culture is widely used in medicine, especially in Ayurvedic medicine.
