Genetically you could live  about 130 years, but your lifestyle, bad habits and  environmental risks limit our lives. Take your precautions and keep a healthy lifestyle, you perhaps may not get to that age, but the years that  we can live, we will be live very well.




The years do not go alone, says an adage popular ... Maybe ... But not necessarily end accompanied by health problems,ailments or loneliness.

Many grandparents are outstanding athletes, artists, entrepreneurs, executives and heads of household. They are surrounded by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to whom let their teachings and experiences. They talk to them, tell them stories, play and share.

How do you do? Simply apply some recipes or tips for living healthy. Here are some tips from the experts.


*. Check once a year blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and get an electrocardiogram(EKG). This avoids a possible heart attack, one of the most frequent causes of death in adults.

*. See your dentist at least once every six months. Brush your teeth after every meal smoothly and with the type of brush that the dentist has recommended.


*. Do not auto medicate or abuse of drugs if you must take them because it is your medical treatment but  under control your specialist guidance.

*. Practice good hygiene in regard to the care and cleaning of the skin, hands, feet, nails, hair frequently or daily.

*. Avoid refined sugars and excess salt or coffee.

*. Make sure you drink enough fluids, between 1 and 2 liters per day.

*. Get at least a yearly checkup, consultation at any time if you have a change or modification in any system of your body.

*. If you have chronic or degenerative illness, stay in control with your doctor to avoid complications. With proper management can live with the disease without major problems.

*. Keep your hands clean as they are vehicle microorganisms that can cause disease. Remember especially hand washing with tap water before drinking or handling food, before and after using the bathroom.

*. Visit your ophthalmologist at least one time in the year unless he indicates a shorter time. Do not treat eye drops by yourself for any reason.

*. Avoid sudden temperature changes, going from a warm to a cold, these changes favor flus and colds.

*. Regard the  necessary sleep hours and rest.

*. Make physical exercise regularly. It is one of the habits that favors become healthy elderly and fullness, it stimulates self-confidence, independence and contributes to an optimistic attitude towards life. Practice daily about an hour of gentle exercise like walking.

*. Follow a good diet. It is estimated that at this age require 1,500 to 2,000 calories, containing high protein, moderate in carbohydrates, low in fat and rich in fiber. Remember that longevity and diet are very related.

*. Include enough calcium in your diet. The follow products are rich in this mineral:
Orange juice, dried figs, rice milk, Navy beans, black beans, cabbage, kale Pumpkin, Broccoli,etc.

*. Prefer fruits and vegetables but they are fresh and clean.

*. Vary the preparation and presentation of meals.

*. Control your weight, keep fit.

*. Do not drink hard liquor. The wine, if your doctor says yes, you can take it only with meals, recommended no more than two drinks per day.

*. No smoking. At any age this habit is harmful to their health, helps premature aging and helps to increase the risk of chronic bronchitis and lung cancer.

*. Do not stop doing the work that you like: go to the gym,walk every time you can,go to the cultural center or make  part of a Volunteerism.

*. Always keep your brain activity: read a lot, write your memories, study, learn foreign languages,play brain games like chess backgammon o checkers,go to museums, take some activity related to arts: paint,draw,music, memorize what you see, what you read etc.

*. Use either your free time through activities that improve, strengthen and stabilize your being in all aspects:spiritual, physical, mental and social.

*. Avoid emotional tensions, anxieties, stress.

*. Do not be afraid of death, is part of the universal life cycle of every human being.

*. Avoid isolation,we are natural social people.

*. Develop emotional thought for all living beings be friend to animals, protect them but is not necessary live with them, is up to you.

*. Keep loving personal relationships with their families. They are essential at any time of life and much more in adulthood with all its transformations.

*. Wear appropriate clothing to be comfortable, not overdress or less than necessary.

*. Take care of their personal appearance, is a good cover letter to relate better socially.You feel safe and pleased.
