Lungs And Health
Both, the food and oxygen are taken by the blood and the cells where it is converted into heat and energy for a means of process similar of the combustion. When the common fuel is burned, form a derivative: a gas or smoke that is deadly and should be removed.
Similarly, the burning of the food and the oxygen in the cells produce a gas, carbonic acid positively charged which is carried by the lymph vessels and the blood to the lungs to be exhaled, thus relieving the body of damage.
If this removal is stopped for a few minutes, life would cease. Near to 7.5 gallons of carbonic acid positively charged is exhaled by a person in an hour.
Approximately one third of the poisonous residues of the body are eliminated through the lungs. We must prepare our ventilation system so that such waste leaving quickly, instead of bunching in the room, enabling always to our lungs with a good supply of fresh, clean air.
Our skin also needs pure air
The skin has millions of tiny openings known as pores. One of the functions of these pores is to breathe in the fresh air. If we cover the skin of a person with material such as painting and close the pores, the person may suffocate in a short period of time.
To have healthy lungs
Dr. Kellogg, an authority on natural medicine who toward emphasis on the proper ventilation of houses, offices and classrooms, believed that each person requires at least 3,000 square feet of fresh air per hour, to dilute the poisons of their own exhaled lungs and skin.
He says that any ventilation system is inadequate if it doesn t provide this amount of air to each one of the inhabitants of the home.
The quarters of the patients and hospitals require two or three times more air, counting the increase in pollution.
An old military surgeon who was in charge of large hospitals during the war, lived an interesting experience story illustrating the importance of giving the patient, especially people with fever, an abundant amount of air. He had as on one occasion in a big hospital came to have 320 cases of measles in the winter season. The hospital was burned, all patients had to be placed in tents.
All with the exception of two or three were recovered. He said that he had no doubt that the number of deaths would have been 30-40 at least if they had remained in the hospital.
Nobody would think to eat any food that another person has chewed however we do not realize how the breathing air trapped is dirty and breathing it again will poison our bloodstream and damages the lungs.
Healthy lung start in home
To enjoy good health our homes must have full ventilation with windows open during the winter and summer. With our modern houses compacted and air-conditioning units by recirculating a large amount of impure air inside, we are depriving our lungs of fresh air. The oxygen that the body gets from the air it is very important for the maintenance of good health.
Without abundance of pure air, the important work to normalize blood chemistry can not be carried out with success and the person could face serious consequences. Scientific evidence reveals that the air inside can be more seriously polluted than the outside of the window, even in large cities and industrialized, says Dave Ryan, expert in polluted of Agency (EPA) in Washington D.C.
